Ingredients

STEAK MIX

  • 1 lb Shaved steak
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1-2 tbsp salt, pepper & garlic
  • 6–10 slices pepperoni
  • 6-10 White American cheese

SANDWICH

  • 2 Hoagie rolls
  • ½ cup Pizza sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your griddle over high heat, keeping one side slightly cooler at medium heat.
  • Add 1 tbsp oil to the grill before adding the diced onion to the hot side and cook until softened and just starting to turn translucent, then push to the cooler side.
  • Add the shaved steak to the hot side of the griddle along with the pepperoni. Cook for about 3 minutes per side, letting the meat develop some color before flipping.
  • Season the steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder while it cooks.
  • Chop the steak into bite-sized pieces and mix it together with the pepperoni and onions.
  • Spread the steak mixture evenly on the griddle and add slices of white American cheese over the top. Let the cheese melt into the meat.
  • Spoon a ladle of pizza sauce over the cheesy steak mixture. Place the hoagie rolls cut-side down directly on top of the steak for about 30 seconds to soften the bread and soak up flavor.
  • Scoop the steak mixture into the rolls and remove from the griddle. Wrap each sandwich tightly in aluminum foil and let rest for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to come together.
  • Unwrap, slice in half, and enjoy while hot and melty.
