Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers
Ingredients
CHICKEN
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup buffalo sauce
- Wooden skewers
GARLIC PARMESAN SAUCE
- 1 head roasted garlic
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 Fresno chile pepper, minced
Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips and place them into a large mixing bowl. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and buffalo sauce, tossing until all the chicken is evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the chicken to marinate and absorb the flavor. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water during this time to prevent burning.
- While the chicken marinates, prepare the garlic parmesan sauce by combining the roasted garlic, mayonnaise, sugar, Parmesan cheese, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and seasonings in a bowl. Mix thoroughly until smooth and creamy, then fold in the minced Fresno chile pepper.
- Thread the marinated chicken strips tightly onto the skewers, weaving them back and forth for even cooking. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F while assembling the skewers.
- Place the skewers into the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 14–18 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking. The chicken should develop crispy edges and reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Remove the skewers from the air fryer and immediately brush generously with the garlic parmesan sauce while still hot. Serve warm with extra sauce on the side and enjoy.
