SAUSAGE GRAVY
- 1 lb hot breakfast sausage
- 1/3 cup flour
- 3.5 cups milk
- 1/2 tsp Lawry’s seasoning salt
- 2 tsp black pepper
BISCUITS
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits
Preheat your oven according to the biscuit package directions
In a skillet, brown the sausage until fully cooked and slightly crispy, breaking it up as it cooks, then sprinkle in the flour and stir constantly for about 1 minute to cook out the raw flour taste.
Slowly pour in the milk while stirring, allowing the gravy to thicken as it simmers, about 3–5 minutes, until smooth and creamy.
Season the gravy with Lawry’s seasoning salt and black pepper, adjusting the consistency with a splash of milk if needed.
Transfer gravy to a casserole dish (or add biscuits to the skillet)
Cut each biscuit into quarters and gently nestle them into the hot sausage gravy, spacing them evenly across the surface.
Transfer the dish to the oven and bake until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through, about 35–40 minutes, then serve hot.
