Servings: 8
- 6 large cooked chicken breasts shredded
- 2 celery stalks finely diced
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1 1 oz packet ranch seasoning
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp black pepper
Shred the cooked chicken breasts into small, bite-sized pieces and add them directly to a large mixing bowl. Make sure the chicken has cooled completely before assembling the chicken salad.
Finely dice the celery and add it to the bowl with the shredded chicken. Toss everything together to evenly distribute the celery throughout the chicken.
Add the mayonnaise, ranch seasoning, salt, and black pepper directly to the bowl. Fold everything together until the shredded chicken is evenly coated and the mixture is creamy and well combined.
Taste the chicken salad and adjust the seasoning as needed. Add a little more mayonnaise if you prefer a creamier consistency or additional salt and black pepper to taste.
Cover the chicken salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This gives the ranch seasoning time to blend with the mayonnaise and chicken while allowing the flavors to come together.
Serve the Homemade Chicken Salad chilled on toasted bread, croissants, or sandwich rolls, stuffed into wraps, or alongside crackers and fresh vegetables. Keep refrigerated in an airtight container until ready to serve.
