French Toast Slider Bites
Ingredients
FRENCH TOAST
- 1 package Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1/2 cup half and half
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp butter
FOR SERVING
- Maple syrup
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together half and half, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until fully combined and smooth. Make sure the mixture is well blended so each bite cooks evenly.
- Separate the sweet rolls and dip each one into the egg mixture, rolling quickly to coat all sides without oversoaking. For smaller bites, slice the rolls in half before dipping.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium to medium-high heat and melt the butter, swirling to coat the pan evenly. Once the butter is foamy but not browned, add the dipped rolls in a single layer.
- Cook for about 1 minute per side, rotating carefully with tongs until all sides are golden brown and lightly crisp. Adjust heat as needed to prevent burning while allowing a caramelized exterior to develop.
- Remove the bites from the skillet and transfer to a serving plate. Dust generously with powdered sugar while warm.
- Serve immediately with warm maple syrup for dipping and enjoy while soft, buttery, and fresh off the skillet.
